📞 Want to fight back? We’ve included a ready-to-use call script at the end of this article so you can tell Congress exactly where to shove Trump’s budget scam. Don’t just read — raise hell.
Conservatism Might Actually Save Us — By Accident
Donald Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” was supposed to be his grand MAGA budget victory — a bloated love letter to billionaires, loaded with tax cuts for the ultra-rich, slashes to Medicaid, and a $5.7 trillion gift-wrapped kick in the teeth to the American working class.
But here’s the twist no one saw coming:
The very people who pretend to be conservatives might be the ones who kill it.

That’s right — Rand Paul, Josh Hawley, Susan Collins, Ron Johnson, and John Curtis are now casting serious doubt on Trump’s budget boondoggle. And for once, maybe — just maybe — their phony commitment to “fiscal responsibility” might accidentally do something good.
This bill isn’t populist.
It’s not conservative.
It’s not even competent.
It’s just another grift. Another giveaway to Trump’s donor class. Another “win” for Mar-a-Lago cocktail parties while average Americans get crushed under rising prices, tariff fallout, and shredded safety nets.
But Trump’s usual tactics — bullying, boasting, and backroom begging — aren’t working.
Even Trump’s cult lapdogs aren’t barking on command. His desperate shout-out to Sen. Roger Marshall yesterday read like a middle school group project gone wrong. It’s a sure sign that the Senate isn’t falling in line — and Trump knows it.
“I hope these Republicans lean into actual conservative values for once,” I said on the show.
“Not because I like conservatism — but because it might be the one thing that saves the American people from this flaming dumpster of a bill.”
When Conservatism Accidentally Functions
This is the irony of 2025:
It might take a few career Republicans finally remembering what a balanced budget is supposed to mean — not as theater, but as self-preservation — to stop Trump from detonating the economy.
Josh Hawley isn’t doing this out of principle. He’s doing it because his state, Missouri, would get destroyed by the cuts. Rand Paul isn’t protecting the working class — he’s trying to keep his brand of libertarian cosplay alive. But their motives don’t matter if the outcome is right.
If the GOP kills this bill, it won’t be courage. It’ll be self-interest.
And that’s fine by me.
Let them be cowards. Let them vote “no” out of fear. Because this time, fear might just save us from fascism wearing a budget pin.
🛑 Take Action: Call Congress and Shut Down Trump’s Budget Scam
Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” is a big, beautiful disaster. It’s a corporate bailout masked as populism — and the only thing standing in its way is pressure. Your pressure.
Call your senators right now. Tell them:
“I’m calling to demand that you vote NO on Donald Trump’s budget bill. I oppose the cuts to Medicaid, the giveaways to billionaires, and the unconstitutional tariffs that raise prices on working Americans. This bill is a betrayal of the American people.”
✅ Be firm.
✅ Be loud.
✅ Be clear: This bill must die.
