TACO: Trump Always Chickens Out – The Promises He Made and the Courage He Lacked
Tough Talk, Coward’s Walk
Donald Trump has never been short on promises. He promised to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. He swore he’d replace Obamacare with something “beautiful.” He claimed he’d drain the swamp, bring back jobs, fix everything wrong with Washington, and do it all “very quickly.” Sometimes, he even gave himself a deadline — “in two weeks.”
And over and over again, he chickened out.

For all his bluster, Trump’s presidency and his return to power in 2025 have followed the same pattern: talk tough, bluff big, then either fold, flee, or forget. The reality of governing has always been too much for the man who plays president like he’s still hosting The Apprentice. When accountability calls, Trump doesn’t answer; he changes the subject, blames someone else, or says the real plan is coming... in two weeks.
He never builds.
He rarely delivers.
He almost always retreats.
That pattern of retreat isn't just behind us; it's unfolding in real time. Now, with the country on edge and democracy in the crosshairs, the pattern isn’t just annoying; it’s dangerous. Whether it’s foreign policy standoffs, failed legislative proposals, or broken promises to veterans and working people, Trump’s legacy is defined less by what he’s done than what he ran from.
So let’s stop pretending he’s some fearless strongman. He’s not.
He’s a TACO: Trump Always Chickens Out.
The Wall: Built on Lies, Not Concrete
Let’s begin with perhaps his most repeated lie: Trump didn’t build the wall. He built a myth.
Promise: Mexico will pay for the wall.
Reality: U.S. taxpayers did.
What was actually built? A partial barrier, largely replacing old fencing. Mexico never paid a dime. Instead, Trump diverted military funds, sparked lawsuits, and backed a private wall scheme that ultimately led to criminal fraud. Even by 2025, there’s no new strategy, just another recycled promise coming "soon."
The Swamp Got Deeper
Trump promised to drain the swamp. He restocked it.
He filled his cabinet with Goldman Sachs alumni, corrupt cronies, and family members. Scott Pruitt, Tom Price, Jared Kushner, and Ivanka Trump all made headlines for lavish spending or conflicts of interest. Trump also fired inspectors general, ignored ethics rules, and pardoned his own loyalists.
Meanwhile, the very people who trusted Trump to clean up Washington got nothing in return except higher costs, weaker protections, and the same old swamp in shinier suits.
“Beautiful” Healthcare Plan: Always Two Weeks Away
Trump promised better, cheaper coverage for all. He said his plan would be ready “in two weeks.” That was eight years ago.
There was no plan. Just a failed repeal bill that would’ve gutted Medicaid and cost millions their coverage. Even in 2025, he still claims it’s coming "soon."
Infrastructure Week(s): Four Years of Vapor
Every year was Infrastructure Week. Every promise was hollow.
Trump initially pledged a $1 trillion bill, then increased it to $2 trillion. Nothing passed. Negotiations collapsed. Meanwhile, roads crumbled, and Biden passed the bill Trump never could.
Iran: Escalate, Then Evaporate
Trump withdrew from the Iran deal. Promised a better one. Never delivered.
He ordered the Soleimani strike, then backed down from broader conflict. No peace, no plan, no replacement.
Chickened Out Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
China:“Trade Wars Are Easy to Win”
Trump launched tariffs, wrecked U.S. agriculture, and claimed victory.
The trade deficit grew. Farmers needed bailouts. His Phase One deal flopped.
Chickened Out Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Budget and National Debt: Ballooned Instead of Balanced
Trump promised to eliminate the national debt in eight years.
He added nearly $8 trillion. His tax cuts benefited the rich and blew a hole in the budget. Even before COVID, deficits soared.
Chickened Out Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Veterans and Social Programs: Promises vs. Priorities
He promised to protect Social Security, Medicare, and vets.
Instead, he proposed:
$845 billion in Medicare cuts
$220 billion from Social Security disability
Privatization of VA care
Backlogs grew. Services weakened. Trust was betrayed.
Law and Order, Except When It’s His People
Trump praised police while pardoning allies and inciting mobs.
He called Jan. 6 rioters “patriots,” attacked investigators, and mocked injured Capitol officers. Law and order were just another prop.
COVID: From Denial to Disaster
He downplayed the virus. Lied to the public. Suggested bleach. Undermined science.
Over 1.1 million Americans died.
Even after contracting COVID, he continued to mock mask-wearing and evade responsibility.
The “Two Weeks” Scam: Trump’s Favorite Escape Hatch
It was his go-to excuse, his favorite stall: “two weeks.”
Healthcare plan? Two weeks. Infrastructure? Two weeks. Peace in Ukraine? Two weeks.
Trump used this delay tactic like clockwork. Each time, nothing came. It was never about delivering. It was about dodging.
What the TACO Really Stands For
Trump Always Chickens Out. That’s not a slogan. It’s a diagnosis.
He didn’t build. He didn’t fix. He didn’t lead. He ran. Every. Single. Time.
Now, with power back in 2025, his cowardice has become doctrine. His delays are policy. His lies, if unchecked, may become law.
Leadership is what you do when the cameras are off. Trump had every chance to rise to the moment.
He never did.
He chickened out.

It is insane that ANYONE supports this traitor, this criminal.
But what if he didn't actually want to implement any of the things he announced? What if it was just talk to deceive the people?
