BREAKING: Steve Bannon DEMANDS Trump Suspend Habeas Corpus

Folks—Steve Bannon just went full dictator fantasy mode in a Financial Times interview this weekend, and if you’re not alarmed, WAKE. THE. HELL. UP.

Bannon, the greasy Rasputin of the MAGA cult, stood on stage and said—with a straight damn face—that Trump may need to suspend habeas corpus to deport people if the courts get in his way. Yeah, you heard that right. The man is floating Lincoln-level emergency powers to handle… immigration. Not a civil war. Not a terrorist attack. No, immigration.

Let me be clear: habeas corpus is the bedrock of your freedom. It’s the one thing—THE ONE THING—that stops a tyrant from locking your ass up without due process. It’s literally in Article I of the Constitution. Not Article II. Not a power of the president. It belongs to Congress, and even they can only suspend it during rebellion or invasion. And no, Steve, a family fleeing violence from Central America is not an invading army, no matter how hard you squint.

So what is Bannon really doing here? He’s testing the waters. He’s floating authoritarian trial balloons to see how much tyranny the MAGA base will tolerate. And guess what? If we don’t hit back hard—if we don’t drag this shit into the light—he’s going to keep pushing until the Constitution is just another prop in Trump’s reality show.

And don’t forget: this is the same Bannon who’s been convicted of contempt of Congress and called for deconstructing the administrative state. He’s not a strategist. He’s a saboteur. He wants chaos. He wants Trump to rule by executive order and eliminate every check and balance that keeps this country from becoming a banana republic with nukes.

If you think this stops at immigrants, you’re not paying attention. Once you normalize the idea that the President can suspend your rights for convenience, what’s next? Protestors? Journalists? Political opponents?

This is how fascism creeps in—not with tanks, but with press passes, podcasts, and permission from the cowardly.

So here’s what I say: Hell no. Not on our watch. We will not sit back while the Steve Bannons of the world play legal Twister with our freedoms. This isn’t just a fight for immigration policy. This is a fight for the soul of our Republic.

And if they think they’re going to tear up Article I, spit on the courts, and turn the Constitution into toilet paper for Trump’s golden throne?

Then we better be damn ready to stand up, speak out, and shove the Constitution right back down their throats—word for word, clause by clause, power by power.

Because in this country, we don’t bend the law to serve the king. We break the king to serve the law.
